COFFEE

We want to provide you with the freshest cup of coffee possible. So Cups Cafe Coffees are locally roasted days before they arrive at Cups and they're vacuum sealed in a 12oz bag.

We're currently offering just a few coffees available for purchase.

Don't see a flavor you like? Just ask and we can order it and begin selling it at Cups. There are nearly 80 flavors to choose from and a large variety of coffee blends. And if you prefer decaf, we can get that for you too.

So why not buy from us? Our coffees are freshly roasted, priced to sell, we can order what you like to drink, and the proceeds benefit a local non-profit organization working hard to: Serve Hope - one cup at a time!

BREWING, STORAGE & CLEANING TIPS!

These coffee tips & brewing tips are for the common drip coffee brewing machine found in most home kitchens.

1. Use cold, filtered water.

2. Buy whole, freshly roasted beans and grind only what is needed at the time of brewing. The finer you grind the coffee beans, the stronger the coffee will be. A medium grind is acceptable for most home brewing unless you like your coffee strong. If you like buying Folgers or Maxwell House or some other pre-ground bulk blend, then try pouring those grounds in a grinder and hit them once or twice in the grinder before brewing. You will be pleasantly surprised by the taste.

3. Measure 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water. Two tablespoons of grounds for every 6 ounces of water may seem like a lot of coffee at first, but trust me...it will provide you with a delicious cup of coffee. Most Americans are drinking watered down coffee and not drinking coffee the way it's meant to be enjoyed.

4. Try using a paper filter. Avoid the metal reusable filters because they could begin to clog over time unless you rinse and clean them frequently.

5. Gently tap down the coffee grounds in the paper filter before brewing to pack them together.

6. Remove the coffee from the burner immediately after brewing and pour it into an airtight carafe, container, or thermos. If the coffee is left on the burner, it wil continue to cook and become burnt.

7. Store your coffee beans in an airtight container. You really don't need to freeze or refridgerate the beans because they could dry out, losing their essential oils.

8. Clean your coffee brewer and coffee pot often using vinegar and water. Avoid using soap.

Legitimate organic coffee has "field to fork" traceability. This means the roaster can track from the specific lot of green coffee to the finished product sold to the consumer the organic integrity of the product. Our vendor's roasting facility is inspected at least once annually by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), to ensure the coffees are roasted, packaged, and labeled in compliance with organic standards. Our organic coffees meet USDA organic standards as outlined by the National Organic Program (NOP).
